Willow Kitchen & Bath Remodeling

Bathroom Vanities, Countertops and Fixtures

Sometimes a bathroom does not need to be gutted, just a new vanity, top, faucet, mirror and light. We do that work on its own when the shower and floor are sound, and as part of every bathroom package when they are not.

What we install

  • Vanities: stock, semi-custom and custom cabinets, floor-standing or wall-hung, single or double. We confirm the depth works with the door swing and toilet clearance.
  • Tops: quartz, quartzite, marble and solid surface, with undermount, integrated or vessel sinks, cut and installed by our fabricator.
  • Faucets: deck-mounted or wall-mounted. A wall-mounted faucet needs its valve set in the wall before the tile, so it is a remodel-level choice.
  • Toilets: WaterSense models, comfort height on request, and wall-hung toilets with an in-wall tank when the wall can take the carrier.
  • Mirrors and medicine cabinets: surface-mounted, recessed between studs, or lit, with the circuit planned for them.
  • Lighting: a fixture over the mirror or sconces at face height on each side, which light your face more evenly than a light overhead.

Choosing a vanity that fits

  1. Width: 24 to 36 inches in most hall baths; 60 to 72 inches for a double in a primary bath.
  2. Depth: 21 inches is standard; 18-inch or shallower vanities help in tight rooms.
  3. Drawers vs doors: drawers hold more and are easier to use. A U-shaped drawer around the plumbing gives back most of the space under the sink.
  4. Clearances: we keep at least 15 inches from the toilet’s center to the vanity and enough room in front of each to stand comfortably.

Fixtures you supply

You are welcome to buy your own faucet, toilet or vanity. We send you the rough-in details (drain height, valve type, supply size) before you order, and we inspect each piece when it arrives. A wrong part is easier to return before installation day.

Vanity and countertop replacement questions

Can you replace a vanity without redoing the floor?

Only if the new vanity covers the same footprint or more. Most old floors stop at the vanity's edge, so a smaller or floating vanity exposes a gap. We check this before you choose one.

Quartz or marble for a bathroom top?

Quartz for most bathrooms. It does not etch from toothpaste, cleaners or cosmetics. Marble is softer and needs sealing, but some owners accept that for the look.

What vanity height should I choose?

Older vanities are often about 30 to 32 inches tall. Most new ones are 34 to 36 inches, which is easier on your back. With a vessel sink, choose a lower cabinet so the rim stays at a comfortable height.

Do I need a permit to replace a vanity or toilet?

Not for a like-for-like swap in the same place. Moving the drain or adding a circuit for a lit mirror usually needs one, and we pull it.
