Open the CSLB license check, enter the number from the contractor’s contract or truck, and confirm three things: the license is active and in the company’s name, the classification covers your job, and workers’ compensation is on file if they have employees. Complaints and disciplinary actions are listed on the same page. California requires the license number on all contractor advertising, which is why ours is at the bottom of every page.
